I love everything about this, Morganne! That pasta puffer is incredible. I have a habit of only reaching for neutral items, but I’ve been wanting to branch out into more color and pattern - you’re inspiring me to do so!

I love that you went on an artist’s date and that it was a great experience! How is The Artist’s Way going for you so far? I tried to do it last spring but got stuck and eventually (sadly) petered out. I want to try it again sometime.

Thank you 😊 sadly had to give it back this week but not before it allowed me to strike up a conversation with someone at work the other day haha.

Yesss I so encourage you to try something new! I remember Ingrid talks about that in Joyful. 🌈

And it’s going pretty well so far...I missed my week 2 date but fit one in this week. I have sucked at doing the tasks but only missed one day of morning pages in the nearly 3 weeks so far so that feels good. It helps that Pete is doing it too so we can help hold each other accountable. 😉 but yeah it’s definitely a commitment!

Yes, she does, you're so right! I did end up joining Nuuly, and I rented a blue sweater with two Scotty dogs wearing glasses in my most recent order, which feels like a step in the right direction!

That's so nice you're doing it together! I can see it really helping to have an accountability buddy. Still, three weeks in a row is amazing! I got hung up on the size of the 3 pages - I was using a large notebook and writing the pages every day started to like a lot. I never did try any artist dates (I think I was scared) 🙈

Oh snap I should've given you my referral code haha! That sweater sounds so cute, I hope you love it!

And thanks :) I'm using an A5 notebook so it's not too bad. I actually just had to go buy a new one yesterday because I finished my other one. I purposely avoided getting a bigger size for that very reason ha. That makes total sense on the artist's date—it definitely tests the limits of one's comfort zone. You can always try again, even if just that piece!

I actually think you might have and I just completely forgot 🙈 But thank you, it's been fun so far!!

That's smart haha also, it must feel so good to have completed a notebook! That's a good point, the perfectionist in me thinks I need to do it all "perfectly/in order," but maybe one piece is a better approach for me right now.

Fun post! Sorry I didn't let you buy the jacka$$ tee lol. You know I probably have one too many whimsical graphic tees/sweatshirts with "Butter" being my new favorite. And thanks for the shout-out on my striped dress, which still hangs in my closet cause I can't bear to get rid of it. Also, interesting to read about the artist's dates!
