Going to need gardening tips from you, this looks so amazing! This year I'm growing basil and cilantro on my little balcony but making a whole salad from the garden is the dream 😍

Thank you for reading, Courtney! :) Somehow I’ve ventured into this without ever trying my own herbs besides basil which always dies on me haha. Did you grow it from seed/start, or a grocery store plant?

Wait that's so reassuring! Everyone always says herbs are the easiest to start with so I've been intimidated to try anything bigger. I'm so glad to know you've had success with veggies first

I started from seed (and truly no one is more surprised than I am that it's managed to grow a bit lol) since it's what I could find but planted a bit late for my zone. The basil and cilantro are making steady progress but as for the mint, oregano, and parsley I also attempted...let's not talk about them 😂

That’s so awesome! Starting herbs from seed may be the secret. My only attempts with basil have been with grocery store plants and I can’t seem to keep them alive for very long lol.

If you want an easy veggie to try - lettuce seems pretty foolproof 🙃

😂 you just reminded me that a friend was growing veggies last summer and truly was begging people on ig to come over and just pick some because there was too much. Good advice to heed 🫡

hahaha - I believe it. Seriously felt like I needed to have a salad party. If all goes well, I'll soon be up to my eyelids in tomatoes 🍅🤞

This is so exciting!! And how rewarding to eat salads made of lettuce from your own garden –that's the dream! Soon you'll have even more goodies to add to them. This is such a fun journey to follow along on, consider me invested 🤓

One bit of good news: once they have fruit your tomatoes shouldn’t need as much water!
